Description

This is a personal website made with the help of Hugo and dedicated to the topics of optical design and engineering. I always thought it would be great to have a single place that provides all sorts of useful information for optical designers and decided to create one myself. Since there are other websites and online resources for optical design, I feel an explanation is required why I thought another website is necessary:

1. Apart from optical design I always enjoyed tinkering with computers and software. I think one can connect these two areas rather well and this is what makes this website unique in my eyes.
2. I enjoy minimalism and de-bloated tools. I think there is something everyone can gain from looking at modern software tools critically and asking themselves “do I really need this?”
3. I find that writing and putting out information helps me to understand the topics better.
